acrobatty apparently opened a worm, which causes their computer to do the spammy thing, so nrivkis is offline indefinately [untl this is fixed] (but would appreciate phone calls from those who would ordinarily call her).
Their computer got the bugbear worm. This is a microsoft (vb script) worm, which is capable of getting into a Windows system via Microsoft Explorer or Outlook (or OE) without user intervention, so there's no blame attached aside from their not keeping their system up to date or having better virus protection on it; that it was appearing to have infected acrobatty's section of the system seems to most have been how it perpetuated itself.
Anyways, they've blown away the OS and nrivkis is struggling with getting it networthy again.
