Date: 2006-10-05 02:42 am (UTC)Haven't missed an ICON (http://www.mindbridge.org/icon/) since ICON 4; married Cicatrice, the co-chair* of that con.
Will you be at ICON next weekend?
*She says ICON didn't have a "chair": it had a divan. That's okay; I think she's divine anyway.

Date: 2006-10-05 12:41 pm (UTC)Second: Yes, we will be at ICON. In fact we have booked a party room and will be having a "Lucky 13" party Friday night. It is Friday the 13th which is cool. It will be the 13th anniversary of our engagement which is cool. And it is ICON 31 which is 13 backwards - what isn't to love. JMac went to ICON when in grad school at Ames so we go back when we can. See you there!

Date: 2006-10-05 04:28 am (UTC)One Nokia tablet, which I never used, hence left at home.
One broken digital camera.
Some amount of cash. Guestimating $150, of which at least a third was Sakajawea dollars, annoying primarily because I liked having a hoarde o'golden coins.
Broken door. Very annoying.
Peace of mind, which is likely to recover faster once we have a working door, preferably one which locks, but, well, it's not that peace of mind isn't something of an illusion anyway.
All in all, we were very, very lucky. No one was hurt, though Dad pointed out that the correct move on seeing the apartment broken into was probably not to walk in at once.
