I've finally managed to find some free time to read, when I wasn't being addicted to palm games (actually, I accidentally left my Palm at home today for the second time in a row, which would be more annoying if most of its functions hadn't migrated to the Sidekick), wasn't trying to work on my A&E Zine, etc.

It's kinda nice.

Heh. The Grand Tour is next in my queue, as well (once maya_a is done with it). Currently reading Passages by Connie Willis; it makes for an interesting contrast after Sorcerty and Cecilia and The Thief Lord.

I can see that; Passages is interesting, though I don't like it nearly as much as, say, To say nothing of the Dog. It treats its subject well, though, and has some nice twists.

The Thief Lord is also "interesting" -- itls a better book than her later Inkheart, I think, but not as much fun to me. But as far as cool YA work, I'd like to recommend The Hollow Kingdom, The Stones are Hatching, and The Folk Keeper (by different authors).

I think all of the above have been up for Mythopeic at some point (The Hollow Kingdom and The Folk Keeper were both winners.
