Gone Reading

I've finally managed to find some free time to read, when I wasn't being addicted to palm games (actually, I accidentally left my Palm at home today for the second time in a row, which would be more annoying if most of its functions hadn't migrated to the Sidekick), wasn't trying to work on my A&E Zine, etc.
It's kinda nice.
Current Novel:
The Grand Tour (sequel to Sorcery and Cecelia)
Recent Reading:
Sorcery and Cecelia (re-read), by Wrede and Stevermer
Crown Duel (the complete version), by Sherwood Smith
The four main-line Liaden novels (by Sharon Miller and Steve Lee)
Hitherby Dragons

Date: 2004-09-26 06:27 pm (UTC)The Thief Lord is also "interesting" -- itls a better book than her later Inkheart, I think, but not as much fun to me. But as far as cool YA work, I'd like to recommend The Hollow Kingdom, The Stones are Hatching, and The Folk Keeper (by different authors).
I think all of the above have been up for Mythopeic at some point (The Hollow Kingdom and The Folk Keeper were both winners.

Date: 2004-09-26 06:17 pm (UTC)I actually liked the last two (chronologically) Liaden novels a lot better than the second two. Things -Happen-. Whther they're better than the first one (Agent of Change, I mean) is debatable, since Things Happen in that one two, but while I enjoyed the second and third, they are a bit questinable (one being a romance novel with a mary sue angle, the other being a "bridge" novel that really needs the rest of the series to find a conclusion in)
