For the roleplaying gamers among you all, I've just now written an essay on the two playbook cycle in Masks, a New Generation.

It goes through why there's a two-playbook cycle in the first place -- but also some ideas for a rather over-ambitious hack/expansion that could, if written, let people play Masks games that ran with a somewhat longer cycle without getting stale (and potentially have some other benefits, since it involves technically tripling the number of playbooks; I did say this idea was over-ambitious, right?).
