Phoneless

My phone went deaf -- in this case, this means that I coudln't hear anything anyone else said. I could get net service, but that wasn't universally useful.

So I've sent it off -- I'm guessing that I'll get the replacment phone sometime next week (it would be nice to get a loaner GSM phone in the meanwhile). This does mean my always-on net access isn't. Which is annoying.

Maybe I'll get more stuff done that doesn't require net access (well...maybe. But it's really bad timing for my alarums and excursiouns zine; I may skip it this month).

So, out of random curiosity, I checked Lunacon's web site...

... and noticed that it's (more or less) in walking distance.

Now, I'm not a big fan of SF conventions, but that's a bit too convenient to ignore out of hand.

And yeah, that's kinda cool. Lunacon's a medium-sized convention, and does have gaming; care to drop by?

I may well, especially since I still need to get something for my mother's birthday, and they will presumably have people selling books.

Of course, it'd help if most of the links on their web site weren't 404-compliant or actually went somewhere.
