Not discussing my own probate (fortunately)! Just discussing issues on my account with Discover's probate -department- -- as far as they could tell, the actual "he's dead, cancel his account" was initiated outside the probate department for some reason. Which explains its wierdness -- seems the probate department requires odd things like a death certificate (imagine that).
