I actually don't blame Discover for the original incident (I do blame the for the "no checks"->no card thing, but every cc company does the idiotic check thing in hopes of stealing credit from competitors) -- according to them, the caller couldn't have been with Discover, presenting the possibilty that the Post Office bounced multiple mails with the same pretext, which could become annoying. If so, apparently they heard (I didn't tell them) that I was going to Scotland, and assumed the worst. On the contrary, however, I took the high road (on Virgin Atlantic), not the low one.
