Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I do mostly Scottish country dance, and while I've done some partner dance -- enough to have good frame and a good basic idea of how to lead and follow, but not a lot of partnered dance styles or a lot of variations that I consciously know rather than just being able to improvise them with a strong lead -- it's not my primary experience. That sounds like a really cool feedback session in terms of articulating things one often only does intuitively (or fails to do because it hasn't been broken down in clear terms).
