Yay, happy meaning finding brains. It's true, even if I was engendering the poem out of sound, enough meaning accreted that it's worth tying it together if I can manage it.

Of course, in actuality the last verse strayed from the animals of the earlier verses because the original did, but I can hardly claim to have slavishly followed the original when I started off adding an entirely new structural constraint.
