Both more and less silly -- while there's humor throughout, it's less over the top than KoL. But the game takes itself far less seriously -- it's not constantly under development, the world cinsists of five little towns plus the intro town and the holiday lands, not a huge spralwing area, and you can only really spend an hour a day on it at most, not four or more, per character, like KoL. So as a low-commitment toy, I prefer it to KoL, which, as the Nethack of door games, is far more dangerous.
