On my flight back from Tampa to London on Thursday night, I was *given* a lighter!
I bought two boxes of Marlboro lights for my brother at the duty free shop, and they gave me a free lighter in with the cigarettes (special offer) which I could only collect just before boarding the plane ... duh?
At least getting a bodhran reskinned is fairly easy (my maker, Gurt Mint, of Bristol UK, will reskin a bodhran for about 30-35 bucks I believe) so if you did like the drum, you could get it repaired as a spare, but I'd be pushing for a brand new drum as a replacement from the TPA/AirTran.
Of course a cheap bodhran (say, a Pakistani one) goes for about 35 bucks in this country, so it may not be worth repairing, particularly if it isn't a tuneable drum.
They took your lighters away?
