I specified two person because, in fact, partner dance as traditionally done is two person, but yeah, the lead/follow parallels/analogy is the key point here. I think this mostly came out of my feedback session with Flouer -- she used -rigidly- enforcing the physics model as she followed as a teaching tool, forcing me to revise my understanding of where she would be and plan ahead accordingly (and notice that, as I hadn't really before, that when I put my partner into an inside spin to my right, that if I want to end the spin with compression, I really want to use my right hand against their right hand for the stop, as that goes directly opposite to their current motion.

And yes, absolutely (except for the damaged game, alas.
